Social-Emotional Learning ✳︎

What we do

We bring the stage to you by adapting our performances to any available space within your school, transforming familiar surroundings into a world of stories and characters. We believe that language is best acquired when it´s experienced. Our approach moves beyond traditional textbooks by providing a live, immersive environment where English becomes a tool for real communication. Through theater, students encounter the language in a meaningful context, turning every word into a felt experience that stays with them long after the show.

At Break A Leg, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is not an "add-on", it is the foundation of our scripts and classroom materials. We design our plays to help students navigate their own emotions and social dynamics.

  • Helping students recognize their feelings and understand others.

  • Encouraging them to question and reflect on the world around them.

  • Using the safe space of theater to explore challenges and find creative solutions.

By integrating SEL into the learning

process, we foster:

Our pedagogical journey doesn't end when the curtain falls. We provide teachers with comprehensive classroom materials and student booklets (featuring our BALCLUB) to bridge the gap between the performance and the formal curriculum. These resources are designed to turn the emotional impact of the show into a structured learning opportunity, ensuring that the experience leads to long-term academic and personal growth.

Beyond the booklet, we propose an optional Institutional Project. It’s a space for students to take the lead and develop their own initiatives inspired by our stories. This project reinforces learning through teamwork, autonomy, and active participation within the school.
